5-Course Italian Dinner

One of my 2022 goals is giving back. When writing about my goals, organizing a 5k and several other fundraising project ideas made it to paper, but I still wasn’t sure about my “purpose.” In early January, a friend contacted me about joining her fundraising team for LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). It just felt right, and I decided to commit.

I am going to be doing several events between March 31st-June 11th with 100% of the proceeds going to LLS. My personal goal is to raise $5,000. For me, that is pretty lofty. I haven’t done any fundraising projects, so this is all new to me. I hope I can do it!

I have plans to host a couple five-course meals with wine pairings. All proceeds will go to LLS. It is a good chance for me to do some fundraising while doing what I love: hosting dinners and drinking wine!

This weekend, I tested a few recipes out for my Italian-themed dinner on April 2nd. Here is how they turned out:

Tomato Flatbread with Arugula and Balsamic Glaze

This was so good, and not a crumb was left; however, I am definitely taking this recipe back to the test kitchen. The mozzarella was a little too “watery” and made parts of the pizza soggy. I also need to perfect my balsamic glaze!

Garlic Bread

Italian Salad

Great salad. The light and refreshing vinaigrette paired nicely with the heavy entree.

Chicken Parmesan with Pasta

This is a classic that Alex and I have made for years. We hadn’t made it in months; it was as good as we remembered!

Tiramisu

This was so much fun to make. I am definitely going to blog about this entire process in the future.

If these menu items look delicious to you, please reach out to me and let me know if you’d like to attend one of my charity dinner parties. LLS is a great organization, and I would love to host you!
