Galentine’s Brunch Menu & More

The second annual Galentine’s brunch was another great success. I had big plans to take some gorgeous photos throughout the day for my post, but ended up getting caught up in the moment. We were having so much fun I just forgot to get my camera out again. Oh well!

Lox Bagel Bar

You can really do so many cool things with a lox bagel bar. I kept it pretty simple with the following components:

  • Bagels
  • Cream Cheese
  • Salmon
  • Sliced Cucumbers
  • Sliced Tomatoes
  • Thinly sliced red onions
  • Lemons
  • Capers
  • Scallions
  • Fresh Dill
This took Rebecca and me less than 10 minutes to put together. I thought it looked so elegant, and so many of the girls loved it. Next time, I will add avocado, pickled red onion, arugula, and boiled egg slices.

Candy Charcuterie

I think I could have done a better job on this, but it’s purpose was to be cute and provide little snacks throughout the day. By the time everyone left, it was absolutely empty. I will have even more candy next year.

Valentine’s Cookie Bars:

My co-host, Rebecca, made these gorgeous and delicious bars. My mouth is watering thinking about how bad I want another one!

Jumbo Muffins:

I love getting this out! These are pieces of my late grandma’s china. It looks so pretty at a brunch.

Photo Backdrop

I kept this year’s backdrop SO simple. I knew I would have a mental breakdown if I tried to repeat my extravagant balloon garland. This year, I ordered a balloon sign that said “#gals” as well as some heart and lip balloons.

Josie loved posing for pictures and playing with the extra balloons!

Polaroid:

I bought a few packs of film for my cheap little polaroid knockoff and asked my guests to snap pictures throughout the day. They were so fun!

Gifts:

I always love to have special little gifts for my guests. This year, I once again made a custom champagne flute for each gal. I also did gift bags with an original poem and filled them with the following:

  • Bottle of water
  • Electrolyte recovery mix
  • Gold recovery eye mask
  • Moisturizing Lip Mask
  • Handmade bath bomb (Made by my mama)
  • Velvet scrunchie
